Review of ICICI Bank - HPCL Silver/Gold Credit Card

ICICI bank has a co-branded credit card issued with HPCL. The card comes in two variants, Silver and Gold. Gold card has higher credit and cash limit compared to Silver card. Both the cards have upto 2.5% cashback on fuerl purchase. 15% discount on P.U.C check and Labour charges at select HPCL Petrol Pumps. Discount on tyres, batteries and auto accessories sold at select HPCL Petrol Pumps.

The beauty of this card is it is accepted internationally but I recommend that you check out the fees for purchases made in foreign currencies. The card has bare minimum annual income requirements at Rs60,000 and Rs1,20,000 for Silver and Gold cards respectively. But their is a Rs600 annual fees. No worries, you get a discount on your fuel purchase so if you BUY Rs30,000 worth of fuel every year, then you get back Rs750 ;-)

This is a good card for starters. We shall explore other cards which are basically Pre-Paid in nature but does that build your history with ICICI ?

ICICI Bank Credit Card in India

Namaskar _/\_,

ICICI is India's largest private sector bank. The bank which initially funded large industrial projects changed its strategy of lending in late 90s by focusing more on the Indian retail consumer. It started off with housing finance in a big way competing HDFC and then ventured into Auto, Personal Loans and Credit Cards. Now the bank is offering several co-branded credit cards. I am personally a very dissatisifed customer of ICICI. Lets paint ICICI in black and white here :)
